Homework Help - Derivatives
(1/1)
ralph:
We just started stuff like the power rule and things, I am not really understanding what to do here.. I will give you the list of Problems.. there is only 3 but I can't figure it out.. Please explain it to me!
* 2x^2+4
* 3x^5+6x^4+3x^2
* 2x^8+3x^5+4
Help differentiate those! :(
Webmaster:
The power rule is quite difficult to learn and comprehend at first, however, it gets easier as time goes on!
These answers are:
1. 4x
2. 15x^4+24x^3+3
3. 16x^7+15x^4
The power rule states: b^a derivative is ab^a-1 .. Basically subtract 1 from the exponent and multiply the base b by a. :)
Any other questions feel free to ask.
ralph:
Webmaster! You saved my ass on this one! I got an A because I printed out your Examples and your explanation and nailed it! :)
Thanks a lot! Definately in your debt for a while now .. haha..
